Windows Mail POP Email Setup

  1. Open Windows Mail.
  2. Click theTools menu, and selectAccounts...
  3. ClickAdd...
  4. SelectEmail Account, and clickNext.
  5. Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the 'From:' field of outgoing messages, and clickNext.
  6. Enter your full email address in the formatusername@your-domain.co.nz
  7. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
  8. Incoming mail server type: POP3

    Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.your-domain.co.nz

    Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: mail.your-domain.co.nz

    Outgoing server requires authentication: enabled

  9. ClickNext, and enter your full email address and your email password.
  10. ClickNext, and then check the box next toDo not download my e-mail at this time. ClickFinish.
  11. On theInternet Accounts screen, make sure that yourpop.gmail.com mail account is selected, and click theProperties button.
  12. On theAdvanced tab, enter 26 in the in the box next toOutgoing mail (SMTP).
  13. ClickOK. You're done! Close theInternet Accounts window and clickSend/Receive to start checking your messages.
