Cannot send email

Not being able to send emails really is usually caused by one of these five problems:

1. Not having the full email address in the box if it pops up asking for password.
Correct by putting fullemailaddress@yourdomain.co.nz in the box.

2. Incorrect password
Correct by logging into your cpanel and go to Mail / Add Remove Manage email accounts and reset your password.

3. Incorrect Authentication Settings
e.g. In Outlook Express
Correct by going to the Tools menu
Tools > Accounts > Properties > Server
And under the servers Menu it should not have
Login Using Password Authentication, SHOULD NOT BE CHECKED
But check this one instead: My Server Requires Authentication SHOULD BE CHECKED.

4. Your ISP blocking port 25
e.g. In Outlook Express
Correct by going to the Tools menu
Tools > Accounts > Properties > Advanced
Change the outgoing port number from 25 to 26

5. Your ISP is on a Spam Blocking list.
Correct by letting us know your ISP's hostname and we will attempt to whitelist them for you.
