Outlook 2007 POP Email Setup

  1. Open Outlook 2007.
  2. Click theTools menu, and selectAccount Settings...
  3. On theE-mail tab, clickNew...
  4. If you are prompted toChoose E-mail Service, selectMicrosoft Exchange,POP3,IMAP, orHTTP, and clickNext.
  5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
  6. Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages.
    Email Address: Enter your full email addressusername@your-domain.co.nz
    Password: Enter your email password.

    Manually configure server settings or additional server types: tick this box

  7. SelectInternet E-mail and clickNext.
  8. Verify yourUser Information, and enter the following additional information:
  9. Server Information
    Account Type:
    POP3
    Incoming mail server:
    mail.your-domain.co.nz
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
    mail.your-domain.co.nz

    Logon Information
    User Name:
    Enter your enter your full address in the formatusername@your-domain.co.nz
    Password:
    Enter your email password.

    Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Leave this option unchecked.

  10. Click theMore Settings... button, and select theOutgoing Server tab.
  11. Check the box next toMy outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and selectUse same settings as my incoming mail server.
  12. Click theAdvanced tab . In theOutgoing server (SMTP) box, enter 26
  13. ClickOK.
  14. ClickTest Account Settings... After receiving 'Congratulations! All tests completed successfully', clickClose.
  15. ClickNext, and then clickFinish.
