Using NSlookup

Open the console/terminal window

Winxp - click 'start' -> 'run' Type 'CMD' in the run bar then click 'Ok'

Vista + Win7 - Click 'Start'Type 'CMD' in the search bar then click 'Ok'

Mac - Click 'Hdd' -> 'Applications' -> 'Utilities' -> 'Terminal'

NSlookup commands:

-q (set query)

=X (Where X = DNS record type, i.e. A, MX, NS etc)

Example NSlookup string:

Nslookup q=a serversnack.co.nz
